Jeopardy (game show) structural change?

I've noticed that Jeopardy seems to have changed its structure a bit. Not sure when but I started watching again daily 2 weeks ago.

Change 1 - Audience does not applaud when one contestant answers correctly a single category (they answer in one swipe usually)

Change 2 - Alex Trebek (the host) doesn't seem to go over upon completion of the game to shake, first, the winner's hand - rather he gestures for the contestants (the 3) to come to him.

Is this accurate, did you notice it also, and when was this change put in place?

(Bonus - and why?)

thanks for any useful help!

(note: Jeopardy just finished and Trebek and even this time he barely gestured to come forward - only said bye to the audience and the tv audience)Jeopardy (game show) structural change?
That's not a structural change, a structural change involves changing the rules. This is just a time cut. Apparently they haven't been showing enough commercials (No, I'm not being sarcastic, I'm serious. Remember, commercials are how the show makes money.) These things can't really be helped.
