Even when they're unsure of the answer or just leave it blank "ie. What is...?". Why doesnt the winning person just wager nothing and win the game? assuming one is leading at 20,000, the others 18,000 and the first one wagered all her money and left the answer blank, whereas the other one didnt know the answer and didnt wager anything (which seems like the logical thing to do)!
someone explain this to me pleaseWhy do jeopardy players wager so much money in the last question when they leave their answers blank?
They wager the money before they get to see the question. They are given the Topic of the question, they wager THEN they see the question. So based on the topic they decide how much to wager without seeing the actual questionWhy do jeopardy players wager so much money in the last question when they leave their answers blank?
You have to make your wager before you know what the question is. Then, if it turns out you have no idea what the answer is, you write nothing (because it's better than putting something really stupid). You've already made your wager; you can't go back and change it.
This would not be much of a game if you get to see the question and then say, oh, I don't know that and wager zero so you don't lose any money. It's like letting someone bet on a horserace when you already know who won.Why do jeopardy players wager so much money in the last question when they leave their answers blank?
Because they would like to win more money. Lets say Im in 3rd place by 15,000, and there is a 2nd place guy name Bob= 18,000, and finally a 1st place person named Susie ahead of Bob by 30,000. (Susie woopin yall BUTTS!) Well If I wanna win, and I THINK I know the answer I will wager a large sum of money. My Wager= 17,000. The answer is Shia LeBouf (Why?Dont judge me.) I said Tom Cruise. Im down 2,000 now. Susie gets it wrong, guesses Britney Spears. Down by 10,000. Bob ends up winnin. YAY BOB!!!. I did my math wrong. srry. %26amp; beacause they are very stupid to wager that much money
