Does anybody remember what this 90's game show was called?

It was like a Jeopardy type show? Well, when the person got eliminated, they went into the dark and a gun shot had sounded to make it seem like they were shot.

There have been so many trivia shows over the years. The only one I can think of that was dark and depressing like what you've described was a show called "Inquisition" . You never saw the person's face who was asking the questions, only the back of his head. He came across as arrogant, as if he thought he as God or something. I don't recall any gun shot sound effects, so that's probably not the show you're thinking of. Or is it?Does anybody remember what this 90's game show was called?
