I need help deciding what type of online game to play.?

I am in my mid-thirties, married, with 2 beautiful children. I have always had to many responsibilities to enjoy the internet very much. We only had 1 family desktop computer, and with a teenager %26amp; a 7 year old there was very little time that the computer was not being used. For christmas I bought my oldest daughter a laptop, and I bought another one for myself, too. So now I can try out new things on the internet. When I was younger I enjoyed games like Mario Brothers, %26amp; Donkey Kong. My children also have a Wii, and Nintendo DSs. On those I enjoy Smarter than a 5th Grader, Mario Brothers, Spyro, Laura Croft Tomb Raider, Tinkerbell and the Lost Treasure, Jeopardy, and other games like those.

I should probably say that I don't know a lot about computers, and I can't type real fast. I want something that will be fun, and that I want have think real hard to play. I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, and movies. I like rock music mostly, but I do listen to other stuff. My oldest daughter is into Country, and my youngest daughter is into Pop. So I have and do listen to a little in those genres also. I have listed a few of the books %26amp; movies that I enjoy.

Crime Drama's like American Psycho, Along Came a Spider, Bone Collector, Double Jeopardy, %26amp; Eagle Eye (to name a few)

Action like A-Team, Angels %26amp; Demons, Da Vinci Code, Enemy of the State %26amp; The Fallen (to name a few)

Fantasies like Avatar, The Phantom, Electra, Star Wars, Batman, Blade, True Blood, Twilight, Constantine, %26amp; Fantastic 4 (to name a few)

I have tried to give you a quick over view of the type of stuff I like. I hope that this will help you help me. I think it might be fun to play a game on the computer, and I am looking forward to trying something new.

So do you think I would like Role Playing Games (RPGs), Real Time Strategy Games (RTSs), First Person Shooter Games (FPSs) or Turn Based Games (TBSs). I would like you to name specific games, tell me what type of game it is, and what the object of the game is. I AM NOT INTERESTED IN ANY GAMES THAT HAVE SEXUAL CONTENT. Please don't offer any of those types of games.

I am older, but I can learn. I think that this might be fun.

try Sim City 4, its simple but requires a bit of problem solving, and doesnt take much power to run
or Civilization V, which is like Sim City, but on a grander scale where you lead your "Civilization" to victory through either war, democracy, economics, or culture.

theres also World of Warcraft which features endlessly addictive gameplay, but that fetches a price tag of $15/month

League of Legends, a free to play online RTS style game, very fun.

The Sims 3, you already have a real family, now start a virtual family and live in your virtual world and do just about anything.

Maplestory, a side scrolling MMORPG where you embark on quests and meet new friends

Wolfenstein Enemy Territory, A free FPS game that has lots of cool mods and pretty solid gameplay to keep you occupied

Well, there is this really good online game called league of legends. Its a teamwork game, and you basically have to destroy the other people with the help of you and your team. its a fighting game, and a strategy game also. The download takes about an hour, but trust me, its worth it. Hope this helped :)I need help deciding what type of online game to play.?

It is free. The advantage of this type of game is it is turn based. 1 turn per week. So you can do the turn on any day at any time. The results are emailed to you. No software to buy or maintain. alright to start off what would you consider to be interesting a good 20-40 min strategy game? go for a rts or if you are feeling to go to the next level go for a card game ( magic the gathering ) or do you want a fast pace game such as a shooter(call of duty) if you want a deep story and various plots go for a rpg ( fallout,dragon age,oblivion. if you want a great game suggestion in my opinion check out borderlands on youtube it is a single-co-op fps/rpg game with retro cartoon graphics. if you would like something relaxing i would suggest super mario galaxy,so you could play with your kids as well or you could pick up a copy of a good wii family game. if you are going for a pc game for yourself YOU MUST DOWNLOAD STEAM. steam is the largest pc game distributer in the world right now.you digataly buy games that never can be lost and can be trasnsfered computers via the internet. if you are not on board with the whole online game buying a quick trip to a local gamestore could solve your problem. hope i helped :D
