how does it work? what is it about? and how do you play it?

:) Could someone please explain how jeopardy game work?
I didnt understand it at first either, Im form Uk, saw it on my hols, so i had a look into it.
you are given the answer.
ie Game show Host - " Yahoo Answers".
and the contenstant would give hte question "name a site where you cna ask questions?"
pretty simple once you get the hang of it. persoanlly wouldnt mind it if they imported it over to UK, they get Americas got talent n Pop Idol off us, we shoudl get Jeapordy.Could someone please explain how jeopardy game work?
In Jeopardy there's 3 contestants, each with a buzzer. There is also a board that is divided into 6 categories. Under each category is 5 monetary values ($200, $400, $600, $800, $1000).
The first contestant picks a category, and the lowest value is replaced by an answer, ex: Goldilocks. The contestant must guess what the question is, and say it as a question, ex: Who ate the three bear's porridge?.
If the contestant gets it right he gets money and can choose either the next answer in that category or one from another category. If he gets it wrong, the money is deducted from his bank, and the other contestants have a chance to answer.
The winner is the one with the most money at the end of 3 rounds. This is the basic game play, the actual TV version is a bit more complicated.
