they make a bid before they get the question...they make their wagers only knowing the category the question will be from...so if they are confident they know alot about the category of the final jeopardy question, they may wager a lot only to find out they DON'T know the answer...too bad...Why in the game show jeopardy in the end why do they bid all there money even when they dont write an answer?
They have to make a bid before they even see the question. So if they feel confident that they will know the answer, they will bid all of their money. Sometimes, it doesn't work out for them.
